A dedicated team of experienced instructors teach our most popular course.  Students will learn and practice CPR and AED skills for adults, children and infants.  This course features a lecture portion as well as a practical skills session.  Students will take a written exam at the conclusion of this course.  This course follows the AHA2015 standard.  Certification card is issued through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI)


This popular course is for both civilians and first responders.  Students will learn and practice valuable skills used to treat injuries ranging from small scrapes to major fractures.  Our instructors use a hands-on approach to ensure each student is competent in their skills.  Certification is issued through ASHI and proof of certification is provided.


First introduced in the early 90's, the Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator™ (CEVO) courses for ambulance, fire and police personnel quickly became accepted as standards in driver training for these fields. Since then, over 500,000 emergency professionals have been trained with the CEVO™ programs.  This 8 hour course features a classroom discussion session as well as a driving practical skills driving session.  A certificate of attendance is provided.


This course focuses on the dangers of bloodborne infections and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).  Students will learn about the transmission of major bloodborne infections and be shown the proper technique to don and doff PPE.  This course is available to civilians, health care workers and first responders.  Proof of  ASHI certification is provided.


Presented in partnership with BluePath Service Dogs, this course teaches first responders the legalities and special considerations involved in dealing with persons who require service animals.  Students will learn about ADA access laws, transportation of service animals, working with patients with disabilities and the difference between service and emotional support animals.  Our instructors volunteer their time to teach this class and all proceeds are donated to  BluePath Service Dogs.  This course can be applied to two general elective CME hours for the NYS DOH continuing education program.


In accordance with the curriculum set by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma, this course teaches students the valuable skills needed to stop major bleeding during the precious first few minutes.  This course is available to everyone regardless of age or occupation.  Students will watch a short presentation then undergo a practical skills portion including the use of REAL tourniquets.  This course is offered FREE OF CHARGE and can be added to any of our classes.   


This course is designed for babysitters of all ages.  Students will learn basic first aid and CPR skills as well as how to ensure a safe environment for children in their care.  This course includes safety check lists, emergency contact lists and a certificate of attendance.  


This course teaches students the skills needed to care for our four-legged family members in emergency situations.  Students will learn basic first aid and CPR skills as well as restraint techniques for dogs and cats.  This program features both a lecture and a practical skills portion.  Proof of certification is provided.


A disaster can strike at any time; will you know what to do?  Our Disaster Preparedness classes are customized to meet your needs.  Students will learn how to prepare for natural and man-made disasters, as well as strategies and tactics for how to respond and rebuild.  Courses can be modified to meet the needs of first responders, day care centers, schools, houses of worship, etc.
